Much like most anglers, our founders Joe and Marti talk, think, live, love fishing. It’s all about fishing all of the time. Naturally you discuss ideas, problems and improvements. It just so happens that combined with their years of experience in developing angling equipment and products, discussion gave way to solutions and innovation and to the rise of the Fat Mammoth brand.
Fat Mammoth is the big, fun friendly child of Custom Made Carp Rigs (CMCR). With years of angling experience behind them, Joe and Marti founded CMCR in 2014. As the years of tying rigs passed they realised as vital as carp rigs are, they’re not actually that much fun! A plan for change was needed!
Whilst working on an angling equipment product idea in 2018 a dream was born. A dream to release quality angling products to the market under one unifying brand. Products that have been developed and tested within the UK and are led by consumer research.
Like with all modern brands sustainability should be at the heart of everything. We do this by investing the care and budget to use sustainable materials where available in order to manufacture our quality angling products and their packaging. We also hold ourselves to account for our carbon footprint and use offsets where the balance needs redressing.

As well as being innovative and functional, Fat Mammoth is designed to bring some much needed fun and engagement! Not just for those working within the brand but for the industry and the anglers too. We intend to provide our community, customers and other interested people with a positive, supportive experience.
